What is the difference between using the PowerDriver or ICC colour profiles?

The PowerDriver acts as a virtual printer driver with a user friendly interface which controls the colour management. This method is suitable for users with basic knowledge of their graphic software applications as it allows different colour settings to be chosen and enables the user to very quickly be set up and printing.

ICC colour profiles also control the colour management but are used in the output stage of the graphics software. This method requires the graphics software application and OEM driver to be pre-configured before use.

Instructions for setting up and using the PowerDriver or ICC colour profiles can be found on the Sawgrass website and on links from our own ink and printer package pages.

Please note that you should only use one method not both. We generally recommend that all new users start with the PowerDriver if it is available for their printer model as it easier to set up and produces excellent results
